AGM 2011
and Champion of Champions Awards.
Much respected international judge and Horse Sport Ireland board member,
Mr. Philip Scott, presented a most knowledgeable seminar on conformation
and movement to the attentive audience at the recent NICPBA AGM.
Drawing on a lifetime's experience, Mr.Scott was able to point out many aspects
which determine the relative qualities when judging equines. The NICPBA AGM
was conducted at Quinn's Corner, near Dungannon. Mr. Scott most
recently was involved in presenting a loose jumping clinic as part of the
CPBS Spring Festival at Clifden.
Chairman Ernie Somerville and committee member Jane Somerville prepare for the
awards to the winners of the Champion of Champions League, for which members
and their ponies may compete during the show season. Mr.Scott kindly consented to
present the awards on behalf of the NICPBA.
The winner of the In-Hand Junior Section was Tawnydun Caramel,
owned by James Naan. The section prizes consisted of Belleek
ceramic photograph frames, which were much appreciated by
the recipients, and ideal for displaying images of the winning ponies !
Grainne McParland has shown and ridden the winner of the In-Hand Mare
or Gelding section, Donegreagh Cian Órga, and was pleased to receive her
prize and Champion of Champions rosette from Mr. Scott.
The winner in the under 16 year old Ridden Section Sarah Curry was,
unfortunately, unable to attend, so the award was accepted on her behalf
by Miss Jayne Maxwell.

partnered Donegreagh Milky Bar Kid during the 2010 season.

Makinson. James is seen here being presented with a rug and sash
by Mr.Philip Scott.

Ridden Section, once again on behalf of Sarah Curry and her pony, Pad D.

token of appreciation for his good offices, and wished him well.
